Ear microsuction is a procedure used to remove excess earwax or other foreign debris from the ear canal. The Audiologist wears a head-set with a bright light and magnification viewers to place a thin suction tube into the ear canal. Low suction pressure is used to gently remove the wax and debris.

Wax can build up to a hard consistency which often needs to be softened with any number of products from a pharmacist. Earol is a reliable and easy to administer oil-based spray.

Even if the wax is soft or softened with a suitable agent, it can be of a sticky, treacle like consistency and cause some discomfort during removal. For this reason, more than one appointment may be necessary.
