Our human upright posture is a feat of great complexity. We accomplish this remarkable balancing act in infancy with the help of intricate reflex mechanisms. Later in youth the effects of stress interfere with their functioning and we find ourselves unconsciously developing habits of using effort and tension to compensate for loss of balance and poise. Taking aside the psychological element of our lives, physiologically we make our lives much harder than they need to be. Alexander Technique offers a way to rediscovering the poise and ease of childhood by identifying unhelpful habits and systematically using clear thinking to reduce their hold over us. Whether you are an artist or athlete looking to get the best out of yourself, or simply dealing with aches and pains, the study of Alexander Technique has many benefits to offer.

I offer an initial block of six lessons at the price of five, with any subsequent lessons at a reduced rate. The traditional wisdom has been that 30 lessons are enough for a lifelong foundation, but a recent clinical trial, published in the British Medical Journal, related to its effectiveness in reducing back pain found that six lessons produced 72% of the benefit of 24 lessons.
