As part of your podiatry/chiropody treatment you may be given the option of injection therapy. Ultrasound allows us to image where we are injecting ensuring an accurate administration of the medicines to the location that is causing pain. At Theale Wellbeing Centre we have a Specialist Podiatrist, Edward Henstridge, who is a CASE accredited ultrasonographer and is highly experienced with injection therapy.
Cortisone/Corticosteroid (steroids) injections can used to treat a variety of conditions although they are not the only option available. They relieve pain and inflammation. If you are suffering from a painful foot or ankle condition that other treatments have not helped, then injection therapy may be an option. We will take time and use a local anaesthetic to ensure you are as comfortable as you can be during your treatment.
