Ultrasound is a scanning method so safe it is used in pregnancy to view the baby. We can also use it for a wide variety of medical purposes to investigate painful or damaged structures in the body. Ultrasound uses high-frequency sound waves to produce accurate images of various parts of the body. This could include joints, and soft tissues such as ligaments, tendons, nerves and fascia.
At Theale Wellbeing Centre, our specialist podiatry team, will use ultrasound to help us identify and treat conditions such as:-
- Plantar Fasciitis
- Morton’s Neuroma
- Achilles Tendonitis
- Ligament damage
- Foot Bursitis
