I graduated from the British School of Osteopathy in 1994 having decided at the age of 14 that I wanted to be an osteopath. I have built up considerable experience through working in a wide variety of practices in a number of different locations. I started Pangbourne Osteopathic Clinic shortly after I qualified and gradually built a busy and well-known practice. Having moved to Theale in 2010, the practice has continued to grow and is a very exciting place to work. I enjoy treating a wide range of people and I have a particular interest in patients who have acute back or neck pain and sports injuries. I also treat a lot of chronic tendon problems using Shockwave Therapy. Recently I have become the consulting osteopath for Read Dance and Theatre College and I am rapidly increasing my knowledge of dance related injuries.

Away from the the practice I enjoy spending time with my family, playing cricket, watching Reading Football Club, ringing church bells and listening to loud music!

Qualifications:

I am a long standing member of the Wellbeing Centre and am a podiatrist who graduated from Southampton University in 2008 with a 1st class honours degree. I perform a wide range of podiatry and chiropody services for children and adults from nail problems and callus to nail surgery and treatment of problems associated with poor foot function and biomechanical anomalies e.g. plantar fasciitis, Morton’s Neuroma, “flat feet” etc.

I am married with 3 children and spend most of my free time as a taxi driver for my daughters, but when I do get some free time I spend it “long distance swimming”.

Qualifications

1st Class Honours Degree in Podiatry

I am one of those lucky people that really enjoy what I do and wake up in the morning thinking about how I can help people today.

I graduated towards the end of last century from the University of Southampton and have worked in most areas of podiatry for nearly 20 years. Before that I was studying Sports Science and that is where my interest in injuries began. For the last 15 years I have been working with podiatrists and Consultant Surgeons specialising and leading clinical services in the diagnosis and treatment of musculoskeletal conditions and prescription of orthoses and insoles. I have become expert in diagnostic ultrasound of the foot and ankle and injection therapy. I take great pleasure in working other health professionals regarding diagnosis and interventions in foot and ankle pain and injuries.

I have a young family, two brilliant daughters, that are growing into wonderful young ladies and a very tolerant wife, I enjoy spending time with them. When I am not working or with my family I enjoy playing hockey, cooking. and play a big role in organising of Newbury Real Ale festival. Over the years we have raised many thousands of pounds for local good causes.

Qualifications

I have nearly 30 years experience in Podiatry since qualifying in 1992 from The London Foot Hospital, affiliated to the University College London and further BSc research from the University of Westminster.

Since qualifying I have worked and continue to work within the NHS in a variety of different settings, treating both adults and children, with complex medical & podiatry conditions. During these years I have worked within the Diabetes Multidisciplinary team as well as with the Rheumatology team. My special interest and main role in the NHS for a number of these years has been in Podiatric Biomechanics & Musculoskeletal Service.

I have has been working in the Podiatry team at Theale Wellbeing Centre (TWC) for a number of years now and continue to thoroughly enjoy providing comprehensive treatments for our patients. I particularly enjoy the variety of treatments available at TWC, not only within the Podiatry team itself, but also provided by other TWC therapists.

“Why I enjoy coming to working here is because of the uniqueness of Theale Wellbeing Centre. We have a range of therapists specialising in different fields of healthcare which provides for a great multidisciplinary team approach for our patients & clients. With all this clinical experience under one roof, it allows for a much more holistic approach to our patient/client care, which ultimately benefits our patients & clients but also us as clinicians as we are continually learning! “

When I’m not working I spend most of my time with my family. Acting as their ‘personal taxi service’, I take our children to their numerous sporting events as well as standing on the side of a pitch, regardless of the weather!

Qualifications

MCPod, BSc Podiatric Medicine, DPodM, HCPC Registered

Clinical Sports & Remedial Massage Therapist (level 5), Pregnancy & Postnatal Massage Therapist, Scar Therapist.

After completing a Sports and Exercise Science degree at the University of Brighton in 2004, I went on to become a personal trainer and sports massage therapist (level 3), training with Premier International.  The soft tissue side of my work was where my passion continued to grow and I went on to complete a Btech Diploma in Clinical Sports & Remedial Massage Therapy (Level 5) in 2009 with The London School of Massage.  In 2011 I then furthered this knowledge with Active Health Group, completing a Diploma in Sports Therapy.

I strongly believe that a lot of soft tissue complaints come from poor posture and muscle imbalances.  These imbalances need to be addressed, via strength and release work, to create a harmonious environment for our bodies to move in.

Since the birth of my two children my passion for pregnancy and postnatal therapies has grown.  In 2017 I studied with Burrell Education, the leading school for women’s therapies in the country, completing their Pregnancy and Postnatal Recovery Therapy course.  I have recently furthered this knowledge studying with Jenny Burrell herself in C-section, Hysterectomy and Abdominal Scar Immersion.  I feel that care for women postnatally, especial post C-section, is lacking and that there are a variety of things that can be done to reduce pain and discomfort, improve recovery and prevent future problems.

Before having children I trained for and completed half marathons, off road races and triathlons.   I now love to spend time being active outdoors with my family, swimming and keeping fit through conditioning work, Barre classes and yoga.

Qualifications

I am an osteopath and movement therapist who is passionate about helping patients to have pain free movement. I graduated from the University College of Osteopathy and over the years continued to explore ways to provide an effective treatment to variety of patients by taking continual professional education. My skills range from postural assessment and rehabilitation to Lymphoedema therapy, medical acupuncture and osteopathic manipulation.

I am an experienced practitioner and teacher of Yoga since 2007 and Pilates since 2013. I specialise in treating dysfunctional painful movements, occupational postural imbalances and breathing disorders. I believe in a holistic approach utilising my skills to create tailored treatments based on an in-depth clinical assessment.

I advocate that a functional pain free movement is attainable for anybody with a regular mobility routine.

I graduated with a (2:1 (Hons) degree in Podiatry/Podiatric Medicine from Southampton University in 2018 and since then I have been gaining clinical knowledge and experience as a Podiatrist for the NHS. I’m a member of the Royal College of Podiatry, registered with the Health and Care Professions Council and dedicated to my ongoing clinical professional development in order to provide the most up-to-date appropriate care.

A keen interest in biological sciences and helping others lead me towards a career in healthcare. Feet must ‘run’ in the family, as I am the third generation to enter this profession! I am very pleased to be a part of the fantastic multidisciplinary team of therapists here at Theale Wellbeing Centre as I believe in a holistic and patient-centred approach to care, one of the clinics core values.  As a healthcare professional, seeing your clients walk away visibly more comfortable, happy and smiling is always a rewarding experience.

In my spare time you’ll find me repotting my houseplants, lurking in charity shops or frolicking at the beach!

Qualifications:

BSc Hons Podiatry

I graduated from the University of Southampton with a BSc (Hons) in Podiatry (2:1) and am a member of the Royal College of Podiatry, registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).

I’ve always loved working with people, and what I enjoy most about podiatry is helping patients feel more comfortable, confident, and mobile in their daily lives. Building genuine connections and seeing the difference good foot care can make is incredibly rewarding.

When I’m not in clinic, you’ll usually find me sewing, cooking, reading, or writing — I love anything that lets me be creative and unwind. I’m really happy to be part of a team that shares my passion for friendly, professional, and patient-centred care.
