2025 has been a very exciting year for Theale Wellbeing Centre with the introduction of four new therapists. For the next 4 months each monthly news letter will review three months of 2025. As this is our first we will review January to March.

Adam Stansbury, Hypnotherapist

Theresa Carter, Hypnotherapist

Jayne Doyle, Specialist Massage Therapist

Hayley Duncombe, Aesthetics Nurse
January 2025 was an exciting month in many respects not least of all because it was the start of our new therapists joining us. Throughout 2025 we have had a big focus on IDD therapy. The first blog of the year looked at the very painful condition sciatica. Between an estimate 13 and 40% of adults normally in their 40’s and 50’s suffer with this condition. In this first blog we talk about how IDD therapy can help relieve the pain of sciatica. IDD Therapy works by gently decompressing targeted spinal segments, easing pressure on nerves and working soft tissues to improve mobility.
Our second blog was written by one of our new therapists, Jayne Doyle, who wrote about the benefits of oncology massage. Oncology Massage and Reflexology are specialised forms of massage tailored to meet the unique needs of individuals undergoing cancer treatment, receiving palliative care, or in recovery. Designed with sensitivity and understanding of the physical and emotional challenges posed by cancer, this gentle approach offers numerous benefits.
We also launched a new service presented by Yulia one our experienced and very popular osteopaths. In this blog we explain this new service – Have you been struggling with muscular pain in your back, neck, shoulders, elbows or knees? Have you tried treatments that haven’t helped? Or have you just put up with the pain and now need some help? Are these niggles stopping you doing the things you want to do? Our Joint & Back Pain Detective will offer you an assessment to help find the right treatment to a happier healthier you.
We were delighted to welcome Hayley Duncombe, an experienced Aesthetic Nurse Specialist, who started holding clinics at Theale Wellbeing Centre on 6th January 2025. Hayley has a passion for skin health and offers a range of advanced treatments designed to promote natural, youthful results that help you feel confident in your own skin. This blog introduces Hayley and the services she offers.

February 2025 – our first blog of February is entitled Can Homeopathy help with the symptoms of Asthma? Asthma is a very common condition. In the UK, 5.4 million people have asthma, around 8 in every 100 people.
Our next blog was written by Lawrie Wright, Alexander Technique Teacher. Reducing Back Pain with Alexander Technique. Our human upright posture is a feat of great complexity. We accomplish this remarkable balancing act in infancy with the help of intricate reflex mechanisms.
On February 20th we explored What is IDD? Back pain can be downright debilitating, making daily activities a struggle. But we do have options when you think there is nothing more to be done for you. We’re proud to provide IDD Therapy Spinal Decompression!
Our last blog of February was aimed at runners especially those in the Reading Half Marathon. Sports massage is a fantastic way to aid your training; it can help you recover between training sessions by increasing blood flow to the muscles, improving flexibility, increasing range of movement and decreasing muscle stiffness.

March 2025 – Spring has arrived, often a time for reflection, a time for new beginnings and a time to look after our wellbeing.
Adam Stansbury one of our hypnotherapist wrote the first blog of March – What is inner conflict – its when you feel like there are two opposing forces battling inside of you? It often feels like you are being pulled in different directions so creating inner conflict. Parts Therapy in hypnotherapy was designed to resolve this very common feeling.
Do you know the many benefits of a regular massage? In this blog we explore the various massage techniques and the benefits they offer. Massage is one of the oldest known therapies, originating in China, India and Egypt thought to date as far back as 3000BC. These ancient civilisations understood the health benefits of physical therapy – the benefits of massage.
Adam provided us with another blog this time – Step into your new career with confidence. It can be an exciting but nerve wracking time when you change your career. Stepping into a new role can fill you with doubts about your ability leading to imposter syndrome.
Unravelling the roots of back and neck pain is the title of this blog. We explore both mechanical and non-mechanical causes such as stress and anxiety.
Massage is more than just a treat or this blog tells us. We know that massage is a beneficial therapy not only to our body but also to our mental health. So we ran two blot in March.
